Empress Gin

The challenge in evolving the existing website and creating packaging material for Empress Gin was to indelibly register the truly unique character and composition of a decidedly superior product; one born out of passion and tradition. To FOE, this meant taking a highly visual approach with nods to the rich history of Victoria’s landmark Fairmont Empress Hotel. With a name celebrating the date of to the hotel’s opening, Empress 1908 is a fitting and textured tribute to this Vancouver Island icon. To traditional botanicals, Empress Gin adds a signature blend of black tea served at the Empress Hotel and butterfly pea blossom, an exotic herb that gives the gin its indigo colour.
